An annual festival of lights in Stockholm, paying tribute to Nobel Prize laureates.

Every year during the Nobel Prize ceremony, the Swedish capital hosts a festival of lights, where artists have the privilege of creating monumental outdoor works. For the past 2 consecutive years, Ateliers BK has had the honor of projecting a video mapping on the focal point of the event: Stockholm City Hall.

NOBEL WEEK LIGHTS 2023 – A luminous dive into the history of the Nobel Prizes.

We had the privilege of adorning the façade of Stockholm City Hall, an historic immersion in lights for Nobel Week Lights, an event that celebrates the innovative minds honored by the Nobel Prize over time.

Our video projection mapping aims to immerse spectators in the city’s unique art, highlighting its rich historical paintings and artistic heritage while revealing unique perspectives on the capital’s heritage. A transformation of the façade of City Hall, bringing the interior outward, to showcase the iconic locations where great minds gather each year to honor exceptional scientific and literary discoveries of their time.

NOBEL WEEK LIGHTS 2022: Exploring human consciousness through the lens of Nobel Prizes.

In 2022, we had the honor of enhancing the façade of Stockholm City Hall during Nobel Week Lights. An immersive video mapping experience to celebrate the discoveries of Nobel Prize laureates that have changed the course of human history.

Our video projection mapping aims to transport the audience into the heart of the city, combining art and architecture. This allows residents and tourists to discover the Swedish capital in a new light, as a way of reclaiming the heritage that surrounds them daily.
In 2022, we aimed to highlight various scenes of human consciousness, nature, the climate crisis, discoveries, and hope. From the discovery of DNA to neuroscience, through the natural sciences, scientific advancements are universal and transcend borders. It’s a message of peace that we wanted to convey through art.
